WATERING:
Violets are an indoor plant. They like to be watered from underneath, whenever the top of the soil is dry, using fresh water at room temperature, or collected rainwater. To avoid leaf rot, water at the roots, keeping away from the foliage.
LIGHT:
To thrive, an African violet needs a bright well lit position (but not direct sun) - ideally with 8–12 hours of sunlight per day. Like most house plants they love to see the sun - but not feel the sun.
